Start date: September 2025

Contract: 12 months (with possibility of extension)

Probation period: 3 months

Working in more than 30 countries, Tdh focuses on maternal and child health, migration and access to justice for children.

Specific Responsibilities/Context of «tasks»

Strategy and programme: Under the guidance and approval of Base Coordinator, defines the direction for programme implementation on Emergency Response:

  • Takes part in the definition of operational needs of the population that TDH assists
  • Supervise project implementation, including synergies with the other programme components of the organization in Ukraine
  • Contribute to development of evidence-based assessment reports, situational analysis
  • Ensure high quality project implementation in accordance with donor and TDH regulations as well as in line with agreed log frames/indicators, budgets, procurement plans, and work plans
  • Take overall responsibility for the quality of the Projects including regular monitoring, field visits and learning
  • Identify and monitor risks, constraints or escalating issues and inform senior management accordingly
  • Regular field visits to monitor the activities and their quality in compliance with proposals and in liaison with M&E department
  • Produce weekly, monthly and quarterly internal and external reports as requested Coordination
  • Ensure all project activities are implemented on a timely and quality manner in accordance with Tdh programme standards and in full compliance with all donor requirements as specified in projects contract.
  • Develop and maintain plan of activities in collaboration with the DCD, on regular basis, about the performance of the project.
  • Ensures the correct financial management of the project and the funds available for it; Guarantees a monthly tracking of budgets;
  • Acts as Budget Holder for the Projects
  • Serve as a contact person for all communications related to project activities with, external experts, partner organizations and other stakeholders and ensures that collaboration with partners is smooth and managed, including the signing of agreements with all designated partners of the project as nec- essary.
  • Regularly monitor the timely implementation of all activities in the project areas based on the Mon- itoring and Evaluation (M&E) system;
  • Regularly compiles project reports as per agreed reporting schedule and the format of reporting, based on M&E system designed and overseen by Tdh M&E Specialist;
  • Coordinates and oversees execution of the project’s activities on all the levels and by the Project staff
  • Ensures contractual arrangements with partners if any;
  • Ensures contractual arrangements and their proper management for local activities and consultan- cies
  • Helps to ensure the correct flow of operational information within the Project team and ensures that all local administrative/logistic/finance responsibilities are in line with country’s TDH processes;

Manage and develop the project team

  • Ensure that all Project staff are provided with a full induction and are briefed on all relevant compo- nents of the Project;
  • Ensure staff are aware of and operating by humanitarian principles and other codes of conduct;
  • Identify need based trainings and work with HR team to develop, plan and implement relevant train- ing plans for each team member.

Facilitate cross program learning through joint review and planning with other departments

  • Define objectives, update staff job descriptions and facilitate regular performance appraisals with support of the HR team.
  • Manage conflict resolution and motivation exercises with the Project team in a proactive manner;
  • Encourage compliance with the Charter and the fight against fraud, corruption and abuse of power; alert the Deputy Country Director / or Country Director in the event of fraud, corruption or abuse of power.
  • Motivate, coordinate and supervise teams, providing continuous organizational support to staff and conducting regular field visits.

External Relationships and Partnerships

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with other actors, donors, and key stakehold- ers and raise visibility around Tdh response
  • Support and work effectively in coalitions and networks in the respect of principles of equality, trans- parency, result oriented approach and complementarities.
  • Attend relevant coordination meetings with other actors and ensure coordination of joint/one- agency assessments and responses
  • Develop and maintain a network of harmonious and productive relationships with national repre- sentatives and program partners (funding bodies, other NGOs, etc.)

Other

  • Support the leadership team to organize and facilitate, conferences, exchange of experience mission and field visits for external management staff and donor representatives

Any other duty as required by the Line manager and is in the employee’s sphere of work

Training/Qualifications University degree (Master's or equivalent) from an accredited educational institution in a relevant field; Expertise in the field of child rights and child protection, migration, juvenile justice, social inclusion programs is an asset.

Experience Minimum 3 years of experience in project management including project designing, logical framework preparation, implementation, monitoring & evaluation, budget management and risk management; preferably with an international non-governmental organization; Sound knowledge of international donors procedures Ability to build effective working relationships, inspiring confidence with staff, volunteers and other stakeholders; Excellent reporting writing skills; Strong analytical skills; Experience in developing and administering project budget; Very good organizational skills and attention to detail; Ability to uphold high standards and punctuality under pressure;

Languages Fluency in Ukrainian, Russian required and communicative, oral skills in English. 

IT know-how Experience in using such computer software as Microsoft Office, knowledge of database package MS Excel.
