A guide for teachers
This guide suggests building a course around key elements such as:
- Real products – product development based on students' interests, skills and ideas.
- Real sales – products that are developed for and evaluated by external stakeholders, thereby building communication and interaction skills outside of the school setting.
- Resilience – Embracing and dealing with uncertainty, ambiguity and confusion as an essential entrepreneurial skill.
- Teamwork – Improves communication, group creativity, and enhances mutual learning, while reducing complexity and uncertainty.
- Informational and explanatory work - interaction with the outside world deeply embedded in the structure of the course.
The curriculum "FabLab System Workshop for Youth Entrepreneurship" follows a modular structure that is a flexible way to implement entrepreneurship education in a vocational education institution (VEI). This approach offers a variety of opportunities to develop a course by combining different modules.
The training course "FabLab System Workshop for Youth Entrepreneurship" also focuses on practice. A practical focus is achieved through a problem-based approach to learning, including hands-on mock-ups, experiential learning, real-life examples, situational problem solving, role-playing, simulation and interaction.
