Context

Terre des hommes (Tdh) is a leading Swiss organization for children. Description

To assess and provide recommendations for the development of the physical infrastructure of schools as a safe space for teachers and all students.

The provision of services under this procurement is one of the tools aimed at creating a safe space to support the activities and improve the educational process of the project's target schools, which received support in the form of equipment and construction materials to create a child-friendly space.

The purpose of this evaluation is to make the school environment more child-friendly as a result of the project and partially fill the gaps caused by insufficient funding and changes in the school population.

Main Responsibilities:

Have documents of a sole proprietor of the third group or be ready to register.

  • Analyze and provide recommendations on measures taken to improve the infrastructure of target schools (locations) in the respective regions (Chernihiv, Sumy, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa).
  • Based on the analysis and based on the project objectives, identify prospects for further capacity building of the locations, develop and provide proposals for supporting and developing the infrastructure of the project locations.

 

Target areas:

  •  Kharkiv (3 locations).
  • Sumy (3 locations).
  •  Chernihiv (7 locations).
  •   Dniprovska (6 locations).
  •   Zaporizhzhia (1 location).
  •  Mykolaivska (6 locations).
  •  Odesa (7 locations).

 

Candidate profile

Values:

  • In her/his professional activities, she adheres to the values defined in the strategic plan: responsibility, competence, integrity and independence.
  • Works in different cultural settings and in difficult situations, resolves confrontations across differences (intercultural).

Qualifications:

  • Higher education. Preferably in the field of construction or engineering;
  • Analytical skills;
  • Willingness to travel to project locations on a regular basis;
  • Ability to meet deadlines;
  • excellent oral and written Ukrainian language skills; knowledge of English will be an advantage.

Previous experience:

  • at least 2 years of experience in a similar position;
  • experience working in an environment with minimal direct supervision in a complex regional environment;
  • experience working with NGOs.

Skills:

  • Expertise in at least one of our priority areas: child protection, migration and/or access to justice.
