Under the supervision of the Programs Coordinator, the Partnership Manager is responsible for ensuring consistent and coherent partnership approaches across all Ukraine programs and will further develop Terre des hommes Ukraine’s Partnerships Approach in alignment with Terre des hommes’ Global Partnership and Localisation Strategy.
The Partnerships Manager will serve as technical lead and ensure harmonization of approaches on identification, selection, monitoring, and capacity strengthening of partners at Country level (Ukraine). This role will also represent Terre des hommes in external networks and fora with the aim of advocating for the localization of aid and equitable partnerships, at Country level.
S/he will provide direct oversight of the Partnerships, while providing indirect support to all other project-based program staff.
This is a key role within Tdh’ response and the candidate should expect to be flexible, responsive and offer critical thinking and solution-oriented approaches. They should feel comfortable in challenging practices and understanding change.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Partnership Manager will oversee efficient partnership management and cultivate sustainable partnerships for Terre des hommes in Ukraine. Responsibilities include coordinating the daily management of sub-award lifecycles and ensuring Tdh's partners comprehend to donor regulations. Additionally, the Partnership Manager will oversee the timely receipt, review, archeive, and follow-up of partners' results.
Strategy and planning
- Lead on Terre des hommes Partnerships Approach in line with Terre des hommes Ukraine Response Strategy, and Terre des hommes’ Global Localization agenda.
- Play a key convening role across the Ukraine response, facilitating a culture of practice and active networking with colleagues across functions, that are working with, or on, partnerships.
- Lead and coordinate knowledge transfer initiatives across all Terre des hommes Ukraine partnerships. Utilize insights and best practices from various programs to establish cohesive approaches and tools for enhanced effectiveness.
- Foster an enabling environment for collaborative, inclusive, and mutually accountable partnerships with national and sub-national organizations.
- Contribute to the evidence-base for and debate around civil society engagement and partnership approaches in Ukraine as well as Terre des hommes’ own partnership approach.
- Ensure partners are consulted in strategy development and program design and regularly organize consultation sessions with civil society actors.
Technical support
- Develop and or implement strategies, guidelines, tools, standards and standard operating procedures (SoPs) that help program teams to implement programs and provide necessary technical support on partnerships, where required.
- Streamline Terre des hommes’ Partnership Approach across the response, ensuring harmonized and consistent approaches and sharing of tools, standards and lessons learnt.
- Ensure program implementation is adhering to minimum standards and program staff are provided with tools and guidance on partnerships.
Partnership management support
- Assist Terre des hommes Programs Coordinator in completing due diligence processes for partners, including communication, documentation completion, and partner review.
- Ensure documentation completeness and compliance with donors' and Terre des hommes' policies. Conduct site visits to partners' organizations to assess internal controls, regulatory compliance, and adherence to policies.
- Follow up with partners for timely financial and narrative reports as agreed in the sub-contract.
Capacity development & organizational learning
- Provide capacity development to Terre des hommes team members, sensitize and train Ukraine teams on partnership and localization approaches.
- Lead collaborative processes designed to harness learning from Ukraine’s partnership programming to inform Terre des hommes’ partnership strategies at the country, regional, and global levels, as well as contribute to the growing global partnership sector.
- Facilitate and contribute to Terre des hommes Ukraine’s learning and strategy related to partnership approaches and capacity development (through workshops, participation in evaluation or studies, preparation/review of tool kits, collection of data and other measurement).
- Follow up with relevant team members for any needed assistance to the partners.
Coordination & representation
- Represent Terre des hommes Ukraine’s partnership approaches and programming in the wider INGO and donor community, and relevant coordination forums.
- Develop internal and external networks to support effective advocacy and outreach across stakeholders to promote innovative partnership approaches within the Ukraine context.
- Participate in sharing best practices with NGOs and governmental agencies working in a similar environment.
- University degree, preferably in the social, economic or humanitarian field
- At least 4 years of experience in a similar position in humanitarian or development programs in an international organization
- Good interpersonal and motivational skills

- Willingness to travel regularly to other regions where the projects of the TAG are implemented

IT Knowledge
- Experience in using such computer software as Microsoft Office, knowledge of database package MS Excel.
Languages
- Fluency in Ukrainian and English, required and communicative, oral skills
