The Young Citizens project in eastern Ukraine is coming to an end and we are happy to share its results.
This is a project initiated to increase the involvement of young people in social and political life in their communities. So that young people living in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts are aware of their rights and participate in decision-making that affects them. On this occasion, we organized three press conferences in Mariupol, Kramatorsk and Severodonetsk, with the participation of local authorities, teachers and young people who were active participants in the project during the year to present the main achievements of the project.
Including:
- 25 teachers of educational institutions were trained in civic education, which later conducted training for 200 young people for participation in democratic governance;
- About 100 of them took part in the Takeover Day;
- 4 project partners implemented their own youth mini-projects, and another 5 - in the process of implementation;
- The online platform Takeover Day https://takeover.org.ua has been created for communication between active youth and officials.
We suggest you watch the broadcast of the press conference below.
