The project "Digital Fabrication for Vocational Education" was aimed at improving the efficiency of young people in eastern Ukraine and improving their entrepreneurial skills.
For one year, our team worked fruitfully to develop the potential of vocational schools, teachers and youth, and to establish cooperation with local businesses.
First of all, we started by equipping five digital laboratories in Mariupol, Volnovakha, Severodonetsk, Rubizhne and Lysychansk with modern equipment: 3D printers, 3D scanners, plotters, embroidery machines, modern computers with 3D modeling programs. After that, they conducted training for teachers of educational institutions, who passed on their knowledge so that young people from neighboring cities and towns could master modern equipment and develop their own product prototypes.
So thanks to the project:
- 55 teachers of vocational schools were trained in the methodology of entrepreneurship education;
- About 500 boys and girls attended classes in digital laboratories and gained skills in digital prototyping and entrepreneurial literacy;
- 12 local entrepreneurs shared their experience with young people in starting their own business and how modern equipment will help them in this;
- Young people were able to implement 27 mini-projects, which included the creation of souvenirs and eco-goods, household items, unique jewelry, toys, etc.
Currently, all digital workshops created within the project are open and accessible to anyone who has an idea and wants to implement it.
The project was implemented by the Terre des hommes Foundation in Ukraine with the assistance of the USAID "Ukraine Economic Resilience Activity".
