Due to numerous attacks on infrastructure and energy facilities by the Russian Federation, this winter in Ukraine is the harshest in the history of the country's independence.
The most vulnerable in this situation are internally displaced persons living in collective centers, mostly mothers with children and the elderly.
To improve the conditions for adults and children during the winter period, we were able to purchase and deliver to 30 centers in Ivano-Frankivsk and Khmelnytsky oblasts:
- 50 cubic meters of firewood for solid fuel boilers;
- 200 sets, each consisting of a futon and a sleeping bag;
- 300 sets of warm blankets and bed linen;
- 100 clothes dryers;
- 80 voltage stabilizers to support the operation of solid fuel boilers during power outages;
- 120 rechargeable lamps to illuminate the premises during power outages;
- household appliances (refrigerators, washing machines, electric stoves, microwaves, multicookers), kitchen furniture, pots and pans, utensils and other items necessary to meet the basic needs of IDPs.
The project "SMILE - Support for children and their families during Migration and Integration in new Local Environments" is implemented with the participation and financial support of the Crisis and Support Center of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France.
