Support for social workers in communities

UHF

Six communities in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast have received electric bicycles! Such transport will facilitate the work of social workers and allow them to deliver food to socially vulnerable families with children more quickly.

These electric bikes have a range of 30 km without recharging, and can be fully charged in just one hour! In addition, they are equipped with a basket that can carry 30 kg of cargo, and can reach speeds of 35 km per hour! The three-wheeled electric bicycles have already been handed over to 10 communities: Rozhniv, Sniatyn, Kut, Yablunivka, Verkhovyna, Delyatyn, Bolekhiv, Vytvytske, Novytsia and Bukachiv!

"The idea came up last year, but we were looking for funding and a donor who would agree to support this particular area for a long time. There was a story when a social worker from Verkhovyna would go to a remote mountain village in the morning to deliver aid to children and only return home the next day. The distance between the settlements is quite large, and we wanted to help the communities a little bit," says Anton Bilyuk, Project Manager.

This is another important step towards improving the quality of services provided to socially vulnerable families. Together we are stronger and change our future for the better!
