As part of the ProAction project, we are training professionals who will work with children in learning and child-friendly spaces in three oblasts!

For example, on July 4 and 5, 16 participants from Dnipropetrovska oblast (representatives of the cities of Kryvyi Rih and Kamianske) took part in the training "Movement, Games, Sports and Creativity" where they gained valuable knowledge and skills that they can use to conduct psychosocial activities in their communities.

"For me, the training was quite structured. It is noticeable that the trainers are professionals, that they have been doing this for a long time and have a certain system of presenting information. I also liked the ratio of lecture and practical material. It became much clearer what the mobile teams and facilitators have to do," says Anna Fesenko, a psychologist with a mobile team and a participant of the training.

During the training, the trainers presented the Tdh methodology using interesting movements, team-building and cooperation games, as well as elements of art therapy and activities aimed at understanding one's own emotions and developing empathy.

In the future, about 120 specialists from Khmelnytsky, Ivano-Frankivsk and Dnipro regions will actively cooperate with children and work in the newly created spaces. We are confident that the trained professionals, together with us, will make a huge impact on the lives of children and families in their communities.

The project "ProAction - Improving Access to Housing, Education and Quality Social Services for Children and Families in Ukraine" is implemented by five partner organizations - Terre des Hommes Foundation in Ukraine, Charity Foundation "Zahid Shans", Charity Foundation Posmishka UA, NGO "World in Colors" and the Center for Rehabilitation and Recovery, with funding from the Swiss Solidarity Foundation and the Crisis and Support Center of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France.
