Visit of TaiwanICDF: A step towards new humanitarian initiatives!

Meeting with partners

From October 7 to 9, Terre des hommes Ukraine hosted a delegation from the Taiwan International Cooperation and Development Foundation (TaiwanICDF) as part of a mission to assess a potential humanitarian aid project. The purpose of the visit was to explore opportunities to improve access to quality mental health and psychosocial support services for children and families in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast.

The delegation included Ms. Hung-Tsu Wang (Director of the Humanitarian Aid Department), Ms. Ching-Yi Wu (Head of the Humanitarian Aid Department), Ms. Yu-Chien Chang (Humanitarian Aid Department Specialist) and Ms. Zuzanna Wojcynska (external expert on psychosocial support). During the three-day visit, representatives of the foundation together with the Tdh team visited several communities, talked to representatives of schools, local authorities and psychosocial support specialists.

The meetings included visits to the Child Friendly Space and the Learning Space previously created by Tdh, where representatives could visually assess the current needs of the communities and the services provided.

The visit concluded with discussions on the design of the future project, its implementation modalities, and the model of cooperation that will best meet the needs of the communities.

Together, we are one step closer to improving access to important services and creating a sustainable future for every child!
