The project "Strengthening the protection of internally displaced children, the most vulnerable girls and boys, in four oblasts in western Ukraine" was created to protect and support IDP children and youth, as well as their families, in host communities in Ivano-Frankivsk, Zakarpattia, Chernivtsi and Ternopil oblasts.
Together with our partners Smile UA and Yellow-Blue Wings, we have created the Western Ukrainian Child Protection Consortium, within which we plan to:
- Create 100 child-friendly safe spaces;
- Promote the development of social services by providing social support services in close coordination with social protection organizations;
- Organize and conduct structured group activities for psychosocial support of children, youth and their parents or guardians.
The project will also involve six other local organizations that will be trained in Tdh's methodologies and technical skills to provide quality services to children at risk on the ground.

The project is implemented by the Western Ukrainian Consortium for Child Protection, which includes Terre des Hommes Foundation in Ukraine, Smile UA and Yellow and Blue Wings, with the support of the Ukraine Humanitarian Fund.
