5 teams of students and teachers from 5 settlements (Horodenka, Kolomyia, Dolyna, Bohorodchany, Verkhnya) are working hard to prepare local initiatives to give a voice to children affected by labor migration.

Last week, children took part in the event "Teaching young people and adults to organize and implement social projects through creativity using the YouCreate methodology", aimed at:

  • familiarization with the basic principles of the YouCreate methodology;
  • formation and development of leadership skills for effective organization and implementation of social projects through creativity in the community;
  • study and practice of group management for the purpose of qualitative changes in the community through creative projects;
  • Introduction to the concepts of "art, well-being, social art - action, youth leader";
  • teaching participants the basic methods of applying creativity in gaining positive life experience.

As a result, young people will soon be able to create creative initiatives based on art and creative actions to address common challenges caused by labour migration. Young people will receive funding from Tdh to create such creative initiatives.

CASTLE action "Children left behind by labour migration", co-funded by the European Union, contracted by the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) through the Migration Partnership Facility.
